Professor Louis Ho

Louis Ho is the head instructor at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal. He is a three time Canadian Jiu Jitsu Champion. He is a U.S. National Jiu Jitsu Champion. He is an FFC Submission of the Night Superfight Champion. Louis is one of Eddie Bravo’s first black belts and holds the distinction of being the first 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in Canada. He also holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under ADCC and World Champion, Pablo Popovitch. Suffering from a chronic lower back condition since adolescence, Louis has developed a cerebral style that emphasizes technique over strength and athleticism. Louis is a pioneer of the Montreal grappling scene and one of the most well respected instructors in the country. Louis specializes in half-guard, butterfly guard, pressure passing, and the north-south choke.

Louis holds a Masters of Science (in Administration) degree from Concordia University in Montreal and is an avid blues guitarist.

Professor Corey

Corey Guitard is a professional grappler and full time jiu jitsu instructor. He is the first black belt under Louis Ho. Corey is an IBJJF No-Gi Pan American champion (Master 1, brown belt), a NAGA World Champion, a Rickson Gracie Cup NY Champion, a FUJI NY Open Champion, a 2x Grappling Industries Absolute Champion and a 2x SAU Absolute Champion. He has competed and has victories under professional grappling organizations such as Finishers Sub Only, Global Grappling League, Ultimate Mat Warriors, and he is currently the Montreal Fight League middleweight grappling champion. Despite being a successful competitor, Corey’s true calling is instruction. He has a background in teaching at the university level and he has succeeded in transferring his educational skill set to the mat, where he uses world class methodology to teach cutting edge technique. Corey specializes in open guard, pressure passing, the front head lock, and taking the back. Corey also holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and is a certified personal trainer.

Coach Mike

Mike Wadsworth is one of 10th Planet Montreal’s most notorious mat-monsters. A brown belt under Louis Ho, Mike is a former high-school wrestler and rugby player with an extensive coaching career in multiple sports. Mike practices a brand of Jiu-Jitsu not for the faint of heart, which includes pressure passing, folkstyle wrestling, catch as catch can, and a wider range of submission attacks than you are likely to see from any other coach in the city (the most dangerous of which is his infamous d’arce). Mike is an extremely committed coach who is known for not letting you leave until you have the technique down perfectly!

Coach Ryan

Ryan Parsons is one of Canada's elite Muay Thai (MT) talents. A certified instructor under Kru Nokweed Sriampai of Muay Thai School USA, Ryan lives and breathes the ancient art. He is the Victory Muay Thai Champion as well as the 2016 Thai Boxing Association Muay Thai Classic World Champion at 175 lbs (Class A). In addition to his MT pedigree, he is also a black belt in Kung Fu, and a purple belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. Despite his recent success, Ryan is a passionate student who continues to learn from iconic teachers such as Dave Hiltion and Sandro Ferr.
