10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal

Welcome to 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal

Welcome to 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal.  Home to Montreal’s best No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts training.  We are the only official representative of Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system in the province of Quebec.  The goal of our Academy is to simply provide THE BEST instruction possible in the martial arts.

We encourage you to join our Facebook Group for updates on training, competitions, and seminars. For information on the world wide 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu community, check out Eddie Bravo’s main website.

2011 was an epic year for 10th Planet Montreal. We moved to a larger location in the heart of Verdun. The location is easily accessible from Metro De l'Eglise and only a 5 minute drive from downtown Montreal. We have arguably the best rolling space in town with our top of the line MMA mats and we also added a full Octagon. Many of the students were promoted to Blue Belt. Head Instructor, Louis Ho, was promoted to Brown Belt by Eddie Bravo, making Louis the highest ranking 10th Planet instructor in Canada. Our Competition Team did extremely well (as always), winning in local competitions, Grapplers Quest, and NAGA as well. We will continue to push and make 2012 an even better year!

10th Planet Instructor

Louis Ho - 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal

Louis Ho is the head instructor at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Montreal. He is the original founder and head instructor of H2O Martial Arts Academy in Montreal. Louis has studied with some of the best submission artists on the planet, including several members of the Gracie family. He is a certified brown belt instructor under Eddie Bravo in the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system. Suffering from a chronic lower back condition since adolescence, Louis has developed a cerebral style that emphasizes technique over strength and athleticism. He is known for possessing a dangerous guard game, as well as an “anaconda-like” top game control. At age 42, Louis is still actively competing in Jiu Jitsu tournaments, tapping out considerably more athletic opponents half his age.

Louis has a Masters of Science (in Administration) degree from Concordia University. He is certified in Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) and Myofascial Release therapy. He is also an accomplished blues guitarist.
